Biography
Catharina Margarethe Elisabeth Müller was born on 4 Apr 1842 as the daughter of Johann Heinrich Christian Müller and Catharine Dorothee Elisabeth Niebuhr, farmers at Klein Hesebeck, Hannover.[1] Her birthplace is incongruent with the claim that she was baptised in Borgeln, Soest, Nordrhein-Westfalen.[2] In 1870, she married Jürgen Peter Gause of Hohenbostel farm no.6 with whom she had seven children:[1]
