Hello again!

Not sure if you can read Swedish, but this is some info I found about my ancestor Johan Adler. I think he was born 1699 actually. Anything you find about him is of highest interest for me. Regards/ Frederik

Translation: The oboeist Johan A. was born in 1699, and registered inhabitant in Malmö 1733-68. Besides the work as a musician, he served after the death of Jonas Brun as a ”tower hornist”, an occupation separated from the city musician job. 1749, when Hellmuth became leader for the city musicians, the service as ”tower hornist” was switched to special assistant Joh. Adler.

I do, actually. :)

I’ve made you profile manager of Johan Adler. Since he is your direct ancestor, it makes most sense.

Wow! Cool. Thanx. I’d appreciate anything you can share about him, as already stated.

Best regards/ Frederik

Hello "Es",

I too do a lot of research in Skåne, and I keep bumping into your old profiles from the Hanna Asmundsen family records from Stångby. A lot of the profiles only have a name and a birth year or the added bonus of a death year. Since the names are so common they match to just about everyone I try to add from Skåne (and beyond) to the tree, it drives me bonkers, so I started looking them up and luckily I have been able to find them quite easily via the late 19th century databases, and the ones that was too vague, I have found in the church records. I do not know how long the family goes on for, I see in the category overview that a lot of them do have more complete data, so I guess it is just one part of the family that is missing it. Anyways just letting you know I am working on it, also.. thanks for adding so many people but grr for not adding more to them while you were at it. ;-)

(Translation: I sent you a message August 28 concerning your pre-1700 certification but have had no reply. If you are not interested in giving an example of your profiles before 1700 and cooperate with a project, I will remove your pre-1700 badge and you can apply for it again when you are feeling ready to do so.)
