Barbara Nagel was born about 1753 in Berlin, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Sebastian Nagel (about 1720–about 1800) and Margaretha Peterman (about 1720–about 1800) (LNAB Unknown).. Barbara was christened the following month on 12 Feb 1753. ^[1] Her parents were Sebastian/Bastian Nagel and Anna Maria ^{[1] [2]}

Barbara passed away on 11 Oct 1823 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, United States, aged about 69.

Georg moved to Quemahoning Twp., Somerset Co., PA in 1775 and settled on the west bank of Stoney Creek. On 28 Feb. 1785, he purchased 149 acres north of his original purchase.
