Christina Elizabeth Nagel was born on April 22, 1823 in Colesberg, Cape Colony, South Africa, daughter of Rudolph Johannes Nagel (1795–1857) and Anna Maria Minnie (~1799–1835).
Christina (32) married Roelof Johannes Strijdom (34) (born on February 14, 1821 in Graaff Reinet, Cape Colony; son of Barend Hendrik Josephus (Strijdom) Strydom and Zacharia Geertruida (Van Wyk) Strydom) on April 22, 1855 in Queenstown, Cape Colony.
Their children were:
- Barend Hendrik Josephus Strydom (1842–1921)
- Anna Maria Strydom (1844– )
- Geertruida Johanna Strydom (1849– )
- Gert Roelof Johannes Strydom (1852–1913)
