Born in Worcester. Married Elizabeth Magill in 1914. This marriage did not last long. We have been unable to determine how the marriage dissolved. By 1917 James was living in Cleveland, Ohio, where he signed his draft card. He served in World War I. He married again in Ohio and raised a family of 4 children.
