Biography
Sarah Amanda Nance, Oscar's mother, died when Dad, b 12 March 1901, was 5 years old and Paul, b. 8 March 1904 was 3. Sarah and William H were married in Collins, St Clair Co, MO, 5 March 1899. I have the marriage certificate. Sarah was born 18 Jan 1874, in St. Clair Co, Mo. to Benjamin Franklin Nance and Hannah E.( Carpenter)Nance. She died 28 Mar 1906. (1880 census for her birth. Death reported by Weant, Kenneth E., comp. St Clair County, Missouri Deaths, 1906-1929)
