Biography

Elizabeth (Nance) Hill lived in Appalachia, in Virginia.
When Elizabeth Nance was born in 1786 in Virginia, her father, Daniel?, was 26, and her mother, Elizabeth?, was 21. She married George Hill on March 5, 1806, in her hometown. They had 12 children in 19 years. She had three brothers.

Research Note

Source needed for father being the Daniel Nance, Sr. (suppose to probably be born closer to 1760) attached. George Hill is found in the Kanawha County personal property tax records for the year 1807. The only Nances found on that tax list are Daniel Nantz Sr., Daniel Nantz, Jr., and Thomas Nantz. This implies that Elizabeth (Nance) Hill was a daughter of Daniel Nantz, Sr., and that Daniel Nantz, Jr. and Thomas Nantz were her brothers.
