A well-known and highly respected resident of the Peninsula, Edward Nankivell, passed away at the Minlaton Hospital on Sunday morning May 27. The late Mr. Nankivell was born near Eden Valley, in 1857, and had lived in this State during his 71 years. When about 15 years of age he came to Oakley Farm, Coobowie. Eight years later be married, Miss E. Dench of Cornwall. About five years ago part of the family and Mr. Nankivell removed lo Toorak near Adelaide. The body was interred at Edithburgh cemetery on Monday afternoon, May 28. For many years Mr. Nankivell was a member of the Coobowie and Yorketown Baptist churches. An " in mem-oriam " service was held at Yorketown on Sunday, June 3. The building had been suitably draped for the occasion by the ladies of the church. The surviving members of the family are:— Mrs. O. P. Jung and Miss Olive Nankivell, Yorketown ; Messrs. Cecil and Gilbert Nankivell, Georgetown ; Mr. Wm Nankivell, Warooka; Messrs H. and E. Nankivell, Stansbury; Mrs. Holloway and Mr. Roy Nankivell, Georgetown; and Miss Daisy Nankivell. Adelaide. Two daughters died aged 11 and 16 years respectively.
