Albert Nankivell was born in 1892 in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, son of Andrew Nankivell (~1872–1917) and Rubina Begg (1871–1939)[1].
Albert's service number was 1/2222 and he was a driver. He embarked on the 9th October 1915 destined for the Suez, Egypt. [2].
Albert died on February 27, 1917 in Wimereux, France, aged 24, on active service in WWI of meningitis[3][2].
