Biography

John was born in 1922 and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.^[1], ^[2] He was the son of John Narz and Nellie Floore.

Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on 02 April 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. At that time he was single, unmarried and working as a clerk in an office.^[3] He served as a military fighter pilot during World War II, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross for missions flown in the China-Burma theater.^[4]

Primarily a game show host, he was presiding over the show "Dotto" when it was abruptly canceled in the wake of the game show scandals. Moving to California, he hosted "Seven Keys", "Concentration", and "Now You See It", as well as serving as the announcer for the Betty White sitcom "Life With Elizabeth."

Jack was married three times:

• Mary Lou Roemheld (m. 1947; div. 1961)^[5]
• Barbara Bricker (m. 1964; div. 1966)^[6],^[7], ^[8]
• Dolores "Dodo" Vaichsner (m. 1969 until his death)^[4]

He was the older brother of game show host Tom Kennedy. And Jack's first wife's sister was married to Bill Cullen, another game show host of that era, making the two men brothers-in-law.

He passed away from complications of a stroke in 2008 at age 85.^[9],^[4],^[10]
