My name at birth was "Christine Marie Nash" -- I was legally adopted about six weeks after my birth in California and given the name "Deborah Ann". At age 21 I legally changed my name to Sarah Sydney and when I was given information about my adoption when I was in my 30's, I was told that my biological mother had given me my fathers surname. We don't know if that's true because she does not want to have contact with me and will not discuss it with her family.
While I do respect her wishes, I happen to feel more orphaned than before -- and will follow through with a DNA test to begin tracking Paternal Heritage.
If you are a Nash and lived in New York in the 1960's -- you might belong to me. Who knows?
Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Someone out there is in my tribe. Is it you?
Have you taken a DNA test for genealogy? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message here on your profile saying you'd like to add your family & Ancestors. A Greeters' Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
