Tom & Elizabeth sold up their 1210 acre property "Mona Leigh" near Parkes in 1910 and moved to Queensland.[11][12]
In 1929 Tom led the building of a new church hall in Pinnacle, Queensland, near Mackay.[13]
Tom died at Mackay, Queensland on 8 February 1945.[14][15][16]

1876 newspaper article refers to a Tommy Nash from Currajong. Joseph Thomas Nash would have been 16 years old at the time and the only one that would fit the description.
NASH-GELLING.-April 17, 1842, at Currajong, near Parkes, by the Rev. W. H. Beale, Wesleyan minister, Joseph Thomas, second son of Mr. Joseph Nash, of Nashville, Currajong, to Elizabeth Mona, eldest daughter of Mr. Edward Gelling, mining manager, Queensland, late of Foxdale, Isle of Man.
