When Ross Vivion Naylor was born on August 7, 1899, in Platte City, Missouri,[1] his father, William, was 31 and his mother, Jettie, was 28.[2] He had three brothers and one sister and was the husband of May L. Grayer (1908–1975). He died on February 20, 1997,[3] in Plattsburg, Missouri, at the age of 97, and was buried in his hometown.[4]
