Biography

Thomas was born in 1908 at Basford, Nottinghamshire, England. ^[1]

On the 12 April 1923, Thomas Naylor, his wife Emma Naylor, and their children Thomas, Harold, William, Doris, and James, sailed from London to Melbourne, Australia, onboard SS Balranald (P&O). ^[2]

The family go to Outtrim in Gippsland where father Thomas works in the coal mines. After a short time the family leave Outtrim for Tasmania following the mining work. On returning from Tasmania the family proceed to the South Coast of N.S.W., where father Thomas, brother Harold and Thomas, all work at Coaldale and The Excelsior Mine.

Thomas left the mines and went to N.S.W. and joined the New South Wales Police Force. Thomas marries Blanche and they had a son.

Thomas enlists for W.W.2. ^[3]

Thomas and Blanche divorce and Thomas returns to Melbourne. He marries his second wife, Belle and they lived in Watsonia. ^[4]

Thomas passed away in 1960 at Heidelberg, Victoria. ^[5]
