Biography

John was born on 17 September 1810 in Madison, KY. He was the son of John O Neal and Clarissa Rebecca Guess.^[1]

When John was 27 he married on 31 December 1837 in Ray, Missouri. The couple had 11 children: William Casper Neel, Mary Jane Neal, Avarilla Neal, John Austin Neal, Lydia Ann Neal, Joshua Wriley Neal, Thomas Marion Neal, Sarah Platte Neal, Romania Deseret Neal, Rachel Clemency Neal and Mary Willmirth Neal.^[4]
