Excerpt from Henry Miller Family and Descendants, Page 70
[See profile of husband John Miller for additional excerpt.]
Although no marriage record has been found for John and Anna Mariah Neal, yet the relationship of this family to the Neal family is claimed by both sides, and the settlement of the will of Walter Neal, and the transfer of lands do prove that Anna Mariah Miller was indeed the daughter of Walter Neal.
John and Anna Mariah had nine children; five boys and four girls that grew up and married. Fours sons and three sons-in-law were in the Union army of the Civil War.
The parent and their children spent most of their lived in the area where Galla and Lawrence counties come together in the townships of Walnut and Greenfield in Gallia, and Symmes and Mason in Lawrence.
