1959, Johnsonburg PA. Grandma Susie was put in charge of me for the afternoon. We watched wrestling on TV and i won't repeat some of her language. She made us both cucumber sandwiches and gave me a a few sips of her beer. The last time I saw her was when my mom and her parents and I traveled to Erie where she was living in a 'retirement home'. That was 1966 when she was 90. She had broken her hip a few years before and the doctors said she'd never walk again, but she proved them wrong. She was tiny, no more than 4'8".
