Biography

Matthew Neale was born in Hertfordshire in around 1790.

He became a carpenter.

He married Mary White in St Alban's, Herts, in 1813[1] and they had at least seven children: Sarah, Ann, Thomas, Ellen, Cecilia, Joseph, and Mary.

Matthew died in 1858, aged 68[8], and was buried in south Hackney[9].

Research Notes

Do not confuse with Matthew Neal, a baker in Stepney, who married a Mary and had children including Elizabeth, Sarah, Emma, and Matthew.
