Biography

Bertie was born in 1894. He was the son of William Neill and Margaret Arbuthnot.

He was at Sandhurst during the 1st World War. He served as a Private with the 26 Infantry Battalion (Australia) - 1 to 8 Reinforcements (June 1915 - January 1916). Service number: 3160

He gained the rank of Lieutenant with the A.I.F.

Bertie married Mary McGurk in 1923. They had at least one son.

He died in 1936 at the age of about 42.
