Biography

Born Near Miller, Lawrence County, MO while the family was en route, relocating from Washington County, AR to western Polk County, MO, near Aldrich, MO. It was believed that she was abused as a child, though no one knows for sure. It is known that she was very mean and controlling over her sons, and very protective of her daughters. Of her six sons, four hardly left home. The two sons who did leave home, Lester and Huber, were disowned. After her death, the four sons at home, Floyd, Ralph, Archie, and Virgil, shared the family home until their deaths.
