1900 Census. Household of W. F. Neill. Greene County, Missouri - Brookline. Wife, M. F.; Children: Georgia, Robert L, Allison, Ettie, Selestrial, Ruby: Sisters: Margaret, Nancy L. Series T623, Roll 855, ED 36, page 10B. Washington, D. C., National Archives and Records Administration.
"Ett" was the name she was called by the family. Her nephew Ray Neill told of bothering her and her sisters when they would have boy friends call. He would sneak around and then pop up to annoy them when they thought they were alone.
Ett loved to garden. Her entire yard at her home in Brookline was either vegetables or flowers. She enjoyed growing all kinds of flowers and canned the vegetables for later use. She was loving and fun. She was called the "unofficial mayor" of Brookline because she knew all that was going on in the little village.
