Biography

In the 1901 census Melbourn P (age 10) was with his parents and 9 siblings in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada.[1]


He was a veteran of the First World War. He enlisted on September 23, 1914 and was awarded the Military Cross for valor while serving with the 15th Battalion of the 48th Highlanders of Canada. [2]

Marriage, date and location are noted in documents related to the delayed registration of his birth [3] Melbourne Parker (age 27), son of John Primrose Neily, married Evelyn Florence Emily Hall on 21 August 1918 in All Saints, Clapton Park: Blurton Road, Hackney, England.[4]
