My grandfather grew up thinking his mother was dead. Somewhere in the 1960's he received a call from Weskoppies asking him to come and identify a woman that they think could be family. My grandfather together with my dad, went there, Big surprise, it was his mother. Still trying to find out how she ended up there. She stayed there until her death, but they booked her out for weekend visits and visited her there as well. My mother remembered her as a small and quiet woman.
