Rebecca was born in 1809 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of James Nelson and Hannah Jack.
She married William Anderson before 1829 in Kentucky.
They were early settlers of De Witt county, Illinois. They were the parents of Rezin Anderson, William D. Anderson, and an unnamed female.
William passed away in or before 1845. She married Thomas Cuppy on 25 May 1845 in De Witt county, Illinois.[1] Thomas had five children from a previous marriage to Jemima Ward. Thomas and Rebecca had two additional children, Charles and Mary Cuppy.
They were living in De Witt county, Illinois in 1850.[2] Her son William D. Anderson was listed as William Cuppy on this census.
They moved to Chariton in Appanoose county, Iowa. They were listed on the 1860 census there.[3]
