Biography

Named Anna Marie, she was usually called Mary.^[1] Mary was the daughter of Danish immigrants, Chris Nelson (Christian Nielsen) and Karolina (Lena) Nelson (multiple spelling variations for both names).^[2][3][4][5] She was baptized in the Nevada Lutheran church in 1888.^[6]

Census records differ whether she completed the 5th grade^[7] or two years of high school education^[8]. She married Lew Larson in 1905.^[9][10]
