Biography

Arnold Duane/Dwayne Nelson was born on 23 August 1920 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States [1] to William Arthur Nelson and Elmina (Arnold) Nelson. Arnold lived with his family in Lyons, Ionia, Michigan, United States in 1925 and 1930. [2]

Arnold completed 4 years of high school. In 1935, he was living in Oak Hill, Volusia, Florida, United States. [3] Arnold married Lois Mackey on 17 April 1939 in Bunnell Florida, United States. [4]

In 1940, Arnold and Lois were living with his parents in Lyons, Ionia, Michigan, United States. Arnold worked as a sales person. He was married to Lois. [5]

On 1 July 1941, Arnold registered for the United States World War II draft. He was living in Belding, Ionia, Michigan, United States. He was described as having gray eyes, brown hair, and a ruddy complexion. He had a mole on the right of his mouth. [6] Arnold enlisted in the United States Army on 7 August 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. He had been working as a farm hand prior to this. He was described as single, without children, 5 feet 5 inches, and weighing 117 pounds. [7] Arnold served as a TEC-5 in the United States Army during World War II. [8]

On 19 May 1942, Arnold filed for divorce from Lois citing "desertion" as the reason. The divorce was granted on 21 August 1943 in Ionia, Michigan, United States. The marriage had not resulted in children. [9]

At the time of his father's death in 1961, Arnold was living in South Carolina, United States. [10]

Arnold married Leeilera Bradley. They had the following children: Larry Nelson, Gary Nelson, and Janice (Nelson) Qualkemeyer. [11]

Arnold passed away on 11 October 1977 in Union, North Carolina, United States. He was married at the time of his passing. [12] Arnold is buried Waxhaw City Cemetery in Waxhaw, Union County, North Carolina, United States. [13]
