He was NOT father of Johanne Andrea Nielsdatter

That was Niels Marcussen. Unless Johanne's mother remarried this John in the US, I believe this is a constructed person - created based on Johanne's Americanized surname Nelson. In that case, he should be merged into Niels Marcussen (1822-1879)

Nelson is not a Scandinavian name. Here it is Nielsen, Nilsen, Nilsson
