He died 7 Mar 1768 (aged 57) in Orange County, North Carolina, USA and was buried at Pond Cemetery, Lakeville, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA [7]
Research Notes
While many have indicated a son named Abraham born in North Carolina and wives named Agnes, along with an Indian woman, there are many books written about Thomas and none of them have this information. [8][9][10]
A researcher of the Nelson family indicated that in 1987 he was searching in North Carolina for the grave-sites of Abraham and his father Thomas. They were both buried in North Carolina, this would confirm that this man is NOT the father of Abraham, as we know that he was buried in Massachusetts.[11]

I do not see any reference to Agnes the Native American when I read page 91 from Weaver's book which is listed as a source under this Thomas. It did give information on this Thomas and his family
I believe the whole story about an Indian wife belongs to a different man. This man and all of the original documentation has him born and raised, and married in Massachusetts.
