Biography
Ashley Nelson was born around 1814 in Georgia[1] to Noel Nelson and Caroline Melton.
On November 3, 1834, Ashley married Nancy Malcom in Walton County, Georgia.[2]
According to the 1850 census, Ashley lived with Nancy and their children, Alexander, Noah, George, Noel, and Thomas in Russell County, Alabama.[1]
Ashley died on February 23, 1861. He is buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Lillie, Louisiana.[3]
