Brown.[11] He continued to live at Livermore until his death in 1886.

Research Notes
Alexander Nelson Family Bible
The Alexander Nelson family Bible is in the possession of a Tracy St. Claire, who has posted images of the pages and transcribed the entries on the biblerecords.com website. (There are a few errors in the transcription.) According to the title page of the Bible, it was "The English Version of the Polyglott Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments, Franklin, N.H., published by Peabody and Daniell. 1844."[1] The web page says that Bible is in fair condition, covered in cloth with the signatures very crudely sewn together, and appears to be complete. Citations from the Bible in the Alexander Nelson family profiles are taken from the images of pages 1 through 4 on the web page.[15]
Unattributed Son
The 1928 history of Livermore, Maine, gives Alexander Nelson a son, James N. Nelson, who is says died in 1847 at age 24, shipwrecked at sea.[11] Neither the Alexander Nelson Family Bible nor the Livermore vital records have any record of such a son.
