Fred Emmert Nelson was born on July 9, 1897 in Jay, Indiana, United States, son of Harmon Bunn Nelson (1853–1906) and Ruth Smith (1874–1949). In 1910, Fred E (12) was in the household of Ruth A Nelson in Portland Ward 4, Jay, Indiana. [1] Fred registered for the draft for World War I. [2] Fred (21) married Christina Bell Lovell (18) (born on August 18, 1900 in Winchester, Randolph) on June 2, 1919 in Randolph.[3][4] After the death of his first wife, he married her sister. Fred (44) married Mary Emma Lovell (32) (born on January 9, 1910 in Winchester, Randolph) on February 17, 1942 in Jay Co., Indiana. Fred died on September 27, 1981 in Winchester, Randolph, Indiana, aged 84.[5]
