Sarah Nelson came west in the early 1900's, to the Didsbury district, along with her daughters, Mrs. James (Charlotte) Sheils, Mrs. John (Esther) Topley, Mrs. Malcolm (Sarah) McLean; and sons, Horatio, Willington, Albert and Gilbert. One daughter, Mrs. Williiam (Jane) McClinton, remained in Ontario.
Sarah died in a wagon accident on the Rosebud Hill, just east of Didsbury in 1906.
Sarah Jane, born in Caledon, Ontario, was the daughter of James Nelson and Anne Mitchell. She married Jacob Howe at Brant County, Ontario on Dec. 29th, 1870.
