Biography

Edwin B. Nelson was born May 6, 1902 in Erie Co., Pennsylvania the son of Charles Nelson and Amanda Osth.

The US Census of 1910 shows Edwin's family living in Erie Ward 6, 106, Erie, Pennsylvania and consisting of: Charles J Nelson (37) Head and Mandy Nelson (41) Wife, both born in Sweden; Ernest Nelson (14) Son, Algott Nelson (12) Son, Edwin Nelson (7) Son, Marvin Nelson (6) Son and Florence Nelson (0) Daughter, all born in Pennsylvania. ^[1]

He passed away August 2, 1976 in Erie, Erie, Pennsylvania and was buried in Erie Cemetery, Erie, Erie, Pennsylvania - Lot 134, Section 15 single grave 2. ^[2]

Edwin's obituary in the Erie Daily Times, August 3, 1976 as follows: Edwin B. Nelson, age 74 years, of 302 West 18th St. Monday August 2, 1976, husband of the late Mary V (Lorence) Nelson, brother of Marvin T. Nelson, and Mrs. Florence Cooley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, 449 East 9th St. Wednesday from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend Services Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. John A Johnson, Pastor of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in the Family Lot in Erie Cemetery.
