OBIT Robert H. Nesbitt
Robert H. Nesbitt, aged 84, of R. D. 3, died at the Smith-Bishop Nursing Home Lincoln avenue at 5:15 p. m. Wednesday, following an illness of slightly over a year.
Born in Neshannock Township, November 20, 1868, he was a son of Thomas and Nancy Stinson Nesbitt. He had resided in this community his entire life and was a retired farmer. Retiring in 1948.
Mr. Nesbitt was married to the former Maude A. McCurdy; who died April 7, 1947. His first wife, Nellie Pearl Smith, Nesbitt, died in 1904.
A member of the Shenango United Presbyterian church, Mr. Nesbitt was a former member of the Board of Trustees of the church.
Surviving, are three sons, George V. and Elmer D. Nesbitt of this city; Charles R. Nesbitt of Lewistown, Pa.: three brothers, Thomas. David W. and Nathaniel Nesbitt of this city and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Nesbitt, This city. Four grand-children and three great grand-children also survive.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the R. L, Boyd funeral home, 208 North Jefferson street with Dr. James M. Blackwood officiating. Interment will be in Oak Park cemetery.
Friends will he received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 O’clock and Friday, from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p. m. [1]
He married Nellie Pearl Smith, Nesbitt, died in 24 Aug 1904[2].
He married Maude A. McCurdy 3 June 1914[3]; who died April 7, 1947.
