Max was born in 1875 (or 17 Jan 1885 Rochester, NY see research notes). (CLAIMED to have been son of Ernest Nesbitt who married Mollie O'Neil but have not found any sources for either his birth-- or their marriage or a census record for parents.)

He married 29 Jun 1911 Hankinson, Richland, North Dakota, USA to Bertha Zimmermann (1888–1981)

Services Wednesday For Max M. Nesbitt
Funeral services for Max M. Nesbitt, 69, of 1327 Ionia av., SW. who died at his home after a long illness, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at Sullivan funeral home, with cremation at Detroit.
A native of Kokomo. Ind., and resident of Grand Rapids since his youth. Mr. Nesbitt was a former trucker and lumberman and for the last 10 years was night watch-man at the Peoples National bank here. He was a member of the Eagles.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha; three sons, Lloyd, Marshall A. and Clare, all of Grand Rapids, and six grandchildren. [1]

Ernest Nesbitt married Mollie O'Neil and in Jan 1884 in Rochester New York, they had a son named Max Marshall Nesbitt. Max married Bertha Zimmerman https://www.ancestry.com.au/boards/surnames.nesbitt/128/mb.ashx
