Edgar Karl Nesbitt, age 84, of Canton, died Saturday, September 25, 2004.
He was born Jun 21, 1920 in Kent, Ohio to the late William and Estella Nesbitt. Edgar retired from the Ford Motor Company of Walton Hills, Ohio where he had worked as a tool & die maker. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class from the U.S. Army after serving in W. W. II. Mr. Nesbitt served as a trustee of First Christian Church in Cuyahoga Falls and was a member of Western Whirlers Square Dance Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Nesbitt He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth (Thayer) Nesbitt, to whom he was married on November 21, 1940; children, Michael K. (Carol) Nesbitt of Medina, Ohio, William J. (Frances) Nesbitt of Miamisburg, Ohio; and Jerry W. (Patricia) Nesbitt of Hartville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grand-children; one great great-grand-child; and sister, Jean Overholt of Stow, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW, Canton, OH, with Rev. Dr. Donald G. Baird officiating. Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Stark County Ohio, 3611 Whipple Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44718.-- [1]
Mary Elizabeth Nesbitt, age 88, of Canton, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006.
Born July 28, 1917, in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Lorrilla (Walker) Thayer, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Karl Nesbitt in 2004; brothers, Russell and Jack Thayer. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael K. (Carol) of Medina, William J. (Frances) of Miamisburg and Jerry W. (Patricia) Nesbitt of Hartville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a mother to multiple foster children.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road N.W., Canton, with Pastor Michael K. Roberts officiating. Interment at Standing Rock Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior (10 to 11 a.m.) to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice Program, 2821 Woodlawn N.W., Canton, OH 44708.
