Simon was born in 1850. He was the son of Samuel Nisbett. He passed away in 1883. He married 11 Jan 1876 at Cannon, Tennessee, USA to Sarah Jane Ring (1858–1933)

Nesbitt Dies; Services Set For Wednesday

James A. (Jim) Nesbitt, 77, of Manchester Road, died this morning at Rutherford Hospital after a ten weeks illness. Services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
Officiating will be Elder A. R. Hill, Kingwood Heights Church of Christ, assisted by Rev. Marquis J. Tripplett of First Methodist. Burial will be at Eevergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Nesbitt was born and reared in Rutherford county where he was active as a farmer all his life. He was first married to Miss Malissa Lyon who died in 1926. He married Mrs. Grace Gordon in 1934. He is a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors besides his wife are: four daughters, Miss Helen Nesbitt, Nashville, Mrs. P. E. Guffee, Murfreesboro, Mrs. Tom Harrison, Murfreesboro, Mrs. Nell Moore Lee, Nashville; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Venable, Atlanta, Miss Sadie Ring Nelson, Murfreesboro; two half-brothers, Larry Nelson, Murfreesboro, P. L. Nelson. Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. [1]
