William Nes, born July 13, 1761, died January 19, 1828, [not July]. His will was made Dec. 15, 1827, and was probated January 25, 1828.

He was a merchant, whose business and residence was located on the northwest corner of Continental Square [then referred to as Centre Square]. His estate was not settled until after his wife's death. An Adm. Account dated July 8, 1843, shows that the estate received rent from Michael Ness Sr., on several occasions: June 1, 1831 $5.00 cash for balance of rent due on old Seys Place; Mar. 30,1832 $19.00 for rent for the lands of old Seys Place; Apr., 1836 $36.00 for two years rent for lands leased him at old Seys Place.

They appear to be the same person dates and spouse and father first names match. The nehs name has many variations ; Nehs, ness nes neese etc.

Nes-79 and Ness-337 are not ready to be merged because: Uncertain if they are the same person, mainly because of the difference in spelling.

Ness-337 and Nes-79 appear to represent the same person because: there were many variations of Ness, Nehs, Nes, Neese etc.
