Friedrich was born on January 20, 1828 in the town of Wurchow in Kries Neustettin of the Pommern Province in Preussen(Prussia) to Paul Neumann and Dorothea (Lucht) Neumann. He was the last of their 5 children. Friedrich was baptized on January 27, 1828.[1]
Family
On September 4, 1850, at the age of 22, Friedrich married Johanne Louise Wudtke (1829-1906) in Wurchow.[2]

Immigration
On June 5, 1863, at the age of 35, Friedrich and Johanne, along with their 6 children, departed Hamburg, Germany aboard the S.S. Eiche traveling to Quebec, Canada.[3]
Death
On November 24, 1899, at the age of 71, Friedrich passed away in Redpath, MN. He is buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Wheaton, MN.[4]
