Hi ,

Thanks for all your work on WikiTree. I noticed that you recently created a profile for a pre-1700 ancestor.

There have recently been some updates to the Pre-1700 Profile help page and the Pre-1700 Quiz since you took it in Mar 2018. Please review both and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You will notice that the wording has been modified to more fully explain the sourcing needed for pre-1700 profiles.

Thanks, Sherry

I re-proposed the merge. I updated his birth and death dates as well as added sources, I haven't edited any family members recently though.

Me too, I use familysearch often and sites like findagrave just as a back up. I found this today... https://archive.org/details/familyofrobertjo00bear/page/n15

Its a family history of someone related to the Evans compiled in the 1930s. II just haven't been on wikitree for a while and haven't updated or corrected profiles that have estimates for dates or anything. I will update his profile soon, but I might not get to it for a while as I have other things I need to do.

Evans-4689 does not have children listed and Pearl Elizabeth Hinerman is very similar to the Elizabeth Hiney. I haven't updated Evans-22725 recently, but I his wifes name is Hinerman. The dates and everything line up on my other tree, but this one hasn't been updated in a really long time. Once I bring everything of Evans-22725 up to date with my current research will you reconsider merging?

Hi Karen,

I have been on wikitree for a couple of years now (maybe more, but whose counting?) and I am still a beginner. When I saw Jacob Lyons in my news feed I immediately wondered if he might be connected with my Lyons family from Grayson County. I am so glad to have the opportunity to research his history and circumstances. Best wishes, Susan

Hey! I'm adopted and the connection you were seeing is through my adopted family (still cool though!) But... we're also related through my biological family! 14th cousins through this guy: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Allen-960

I would not get hung up too much on the spelling of Neuvirth, Czech writers used a -v- after the mid 19th century whereas that would have been a -w- in older records or continuing in those written by German speakers after that time. For anything before 1850 I would look for Neuwirth. As to your road block: Cibotín is now a part of the town of Česká Bělá, for both the repository of church books would be the Moravský zemský archiv v Brně http://actapublica.eu but they have not been digitized yet. You could contact the archive at actapublica@mza.cz and ask about the time frame for publication of the church books. Once they are on the web they will be free. Good luck, Helmut
