Biography
Claire L. Neves, served on the Destroyer USS Buchanan (shown in the film) during the ww2. The film shows it as it brought General MacArthur from Yokohama to the USS Missouri for the signing of the Peace Treaty, and then escorted the General back to Yokohama. The Destroyer had previously escorted Admirals Nimitz and Halsey from their respective flagships to meet with General MacArthur in Yokohama and then returned them to their ships.
