Sir Thomas Nevill (Nevell) of Liversedge, co. York. is the son of:[1][2]

  • John, s. & h. of William Nevill of Liversedge, co. York,[1]
  • and Alice (Ales), d. & h. of Roger "Henry" Sherwood.[1][3]


According to Dugdale (1899), he had two sisters:[2]

  1. Joan
  2. and Margaret.


He married Ales (Alice), dau. of Richard Gascoigne (Gaskon) of Hunslet.[1]


They are the parents of:

  • (s. & h.) Robert Nevill of Hunslet and Lever.[1]

Thomas requested burial at Birstall, co. York.[2][4] He was survived by his wife. She was buried in the church at Leeds March 8th, 1453, before a private alter. In her will, proved 24th May 1454, she directs to have special oratorys in her Chantry for 3 years.[5]
