Note: Sara Nevins was the treasurer of the city of Titusville PA. She stated in an affidavit dated January 20, 1958 the following family information:

To Whom it may Concern:

This is to certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief Benjamin J. Watkins was born in Millerstown (now called Chicora) Butler Country Pennsylvania on June 23, 1883. Benjamin J. Watkins mother was Josephine McFarland Watkins and my mother was Katherine McFarland Nevins, a sister of Mrs. Josephine Watkins. The mother of Mrs. Josephine McFarland Watkins and of Mrs. Katherine McFarland Nevins wa Mrs. Sarah Ann McFarland who was my Grandmother and also Mr. Benjamin J. Watkins grandmother.

As a child I visited at the watkins' home in Millerstown, Butler County, Pennsylvania, many times with my mother, Mrs. Katherine Nevins, when Mr. Benjamin J. Watkins was a small child.
