Roy was born in 1920. He was the son of Luther New and May Wilhoite. He passed away in 1991.

Roy Lee New, 70, of Carroll County, died Sunday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital. He was a farmer. He also was a former bus driver for the Carroll County school system, retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of Jordan Baptist Church, Carroll County.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Crawford New; his mother, May New of Carrollton; sons, Robert Lee New of Carrollton, Tommy New and Dale New, both of Carroll County; brothers, Robert Jr. New of Lebanon, Ohio, Bobby Gene New and Luther Carroll, both of Carrollton; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gentry-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be there from 4 to 9 tonight. Burial will be in Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery, Owen County.
