Biography

Rosella was born about 1865. She was the daughter of Thomas Newberry and Betty Warriner. She passed away about 1940.

Rosie married at least three times. Her first husband was her first cousin Charles Jearles. They had four children with one who passed away before 1900. The family moved westward from Pennsylvania to Ohio and Indiana. They relocated to Michigan to help support their eldest son when Percy fell ill. Rosie husband Charles and their son Percy died within a month of each other in 1911.

Rosie returned to Indiana and married George W. King in December 1912.

Rosie's Find a Grave memorial has her last name as Rohr and links to her first husband and 2 of their children. If that is correct, she must have married for a 3rd time.

Research Notes

Looking for more records to fill in the gaps. This marriage record in 1920 gives 'Rosie Kenney' as her name and her parents as Spencer Newberry and Betsy Warner. "Indiana Marriages, 1811-2007," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K62C-DP6 : 10 December 2017), Nelson C Snyder and Rosie Kenney, 22 Jan 1920; citing Putnam, Indiana, United States, various county clerk offices, Indiana; FHL microfilm 1,315,793. The record says her previous three marriages were dissolved by death and divorce in 1916. So...first marriage to Charles Jearles, second to George W. King in 1912, third to unknown 'Kenney', fourth to Nelson C Snyder, and her last to unknown Roher.
