He was born about 1729 in Scotland and his parents were Charity Julia (Blake) and Thomas Newburgh or Newbury or Newberry, Sr.

Thomas Newberry, Jr. married Hannah Spragg.

In 1790 he resided in Wilkes County, North Carolina, USA. [1]

He could not have been the one who served during the War of 1812 because he would have been too old at over 80 years.
