Biography

James was the son of Thomas Newberry and Elizabeth. He was christened in Preston Capes, Northamptonshire on 31 March 1850.[1]

He emigrated to Nelson, New Zealand on the "Emma Colvin" in 1856 as a 6 year old.

James passed away in 1927. The death registration states he was 76 years.[2]
