Hello Joy. There are still some outstanding merges for Velva Fuller. I would help with them but it has to be approved by someone on the profiles’ trusted lists. Would you be able to approve the merges please?

Hi Joy,

How are you? I'm David a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile.

Sources are critically important for genealogy and you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from. This page describes sources and how to enter sources.

Family Search and Find a Grave are free websites for finding sources:

https://familysearch.org/search/

https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cs

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Hi Joy,

Thank you for the note! I see you added a surname tag and comment and have been confirmed. That's great!

Your next step is to read and agree to the WikiTree Honor Code. Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take some time to read it.

Joy-

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.

Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.

Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.

You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum:  Have you found any unusual occupations in your family tree?

Hi Joy,

Karen ask me to help you since she is unavailable just now.

Click the below link and add your surname tag(s) and tag comments showing your interest in the surname(s) and genealogy and I will drop back by shortly and confirm you a new member of WikiTree. Then you can start editing your profile and adding your close family. To become a full member be sure and read and agree to the Wiki Honor Code.

You can create a tag for each of your surnames and locations. (Up to 20 tags are allowed) by heading over to your Special Following page.

Have a look at my profile page by clicking my name above this comment to see what tags look like.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Enjoy WikiTree!  :-)

Hi Joy!

I see you are Volunteering. Could you add some TAGs to show what you are interested in with genealgoy?

Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you do that then I'll be happy to confirm you to start adding to your tree. :)

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Michelle~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi Joy,

Welcome to Wikitree! I'm so glad you found us!

Wikitree is one BIG world-wide family tree that is freely accessible to everyone. Our goal is to have one profile per person which means we all work together as a BIG friendly and polite collaborative team!

If you are interested in sharing your research and want to collaborate to add your family, please fill out the TAGS on your profile page and click SAVE TAG(s) AND VOLUNTEER.

Your Tags can include names like JOHNSON (a surname) or NEW_ZEALAND (a location) and a comment explaining why this subject interests you. Once you choose to Volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you'll be on your way! Welcome to the Family!

Hi there! If you're Joy, you can change the first name and birthdate on this profile to your own, and then create a profile for Ben to connect to your own. Over on Geni it looks like Ben is Joy's grandfather, right? We look forward to confirming your membership in your own name and then watching your branch of our family tree grow!

I noticed you edited Ben's death date and say Ben's Wife instead of My Wife in the tag. This makes me think you are not Ben but created a profile for Ben instead of yourself. Wikitree policy is that you must create an account for yourself before creating any family profiles.
