Biography

Owen Newcomb (Oliver, Benjamin, Simon, Andrew,Andrew), b. in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, Feb. 22, 1776; m. Jane Beaver, in Halifax; lived at Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia a short time, but removed to Shoal Bay (in same county and province), where their ch. were born and where he d. Sept. 10, 1850. His wife is also dead. He was engaged in the fisheries, the chief occupation of his descendants.[1]
