Asa, son of Thomas Newhall and his 2nd wife Elizabeth Bancroft, was born in 1732 in Lynnfield Massachusetts.[1]
Asa was a private in Bancroft’s Minute Men in the revolutionary war, and noted for action at Concord in 1775.[2] He is also noted as a veteran of the French and Indian War.[3]
He apparently lived in Lynn his entire life, was a successful farmer with 240 acres when he transferred to property to his son Asa,[1]passing away in 1814.[4][5][6][7]
